Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) at ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru was inaugurated on 24th April 2002. The operations of ATIC started in 2003 and ever since its inception it has been catering to the needs of the farming community in general and horticultural farming community in particular through a single window system to address a series of farm related problems. The ATIC at ICAR-IIHR has been serving as a vital link between the farmers and the scientists for providing solutions to many problems through farmer friendly, eco-friendly and cost effective technologies comprising crop specific micro nutrient formulation for foliar spray, bio-fertilisers, bio-pesticides, fruit fly traps etc.

 

Services provided by ATIC-IIHR.

  1. ATIC has been facilitating interaction of farmers with concerned scientists on Soil health management – INM, soil testing, leaf analysis; Plant health management – IPM, IDM; Pesticide residue analysis; supply of planting materials and seeds besides general cultivation practices for different horticultural crops.
  2. ATIC has been selling different technology products (list enclosed)
    • Micronutrient formulations such as Banana Special, Mango Special, Vegetable Special, Citrus Special for enhancing the yield and quality of the respective crops
    • Bio-fertilisers like VAM, PSB, Azospirillum, Azotobactor and of late, Arka Microbial Consortium (both in powder and liquid forms), Arka Microbial decomposer
    • Bio-pesticides like Trichoderma viridae, Trichoderma harzianum, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Paecilomyces lilacinus and Phochonia chlamydosporia herbal oil soaps such as Neem and Pongamia soaps for controlling sucking pests
    • fruit fly traps for the control of fruit flies in mango, guava and annona 
    • Sealer cum healer for mango for controlling stem borer
    • Publications (Books, Bulletins, Pocket Diaries, Folders) related to crops, plant health management, soil health management, pesticide residues, physiological disorders and solutions etc. (list enclosed)
    • PHT products like Mango squash, Passion fruit squash, Kokum and Aonla concentrate, etc. and dry flower mementoes.
    • Fruit Harvesters for mango, sapota and citrus fruits.
  3. ATIC has been receiving the visitors – farmers, entrepreneurs, students etc. During 2016-17, about 3000 farmers visited ATIC to get solutions to their farm related problems, diagnosis and also to buy the ATIC products.
  4. ATIC-IIHR generated Rs.34.54 lakh revenue through sale of products and publications during 2016-17.

  1. Packing and Postal Charges Rs.75/- per Kgs.
  1. The items can be obtained by remitting the required amount to the office in the form of Cash or Bank Draft drawn in favour of ICAR Unit-IIHR, BANGALORE payable at Bangalore.
  2. Include postage charges (as mentioned in the list, in case of more number of items kindly indicate the items by email : atic@iihr.res.in so that the postage charges can be communicated) along with the cost of item for receiving the product by post . Product can be booked through transport with the cost to the borne by the clientele and handling & local transportation charges are extra depending upon the quantity indented.
  3. Demand draft of Bank should be drawn in favour of ICAR Unit- IIHR, BANGALORE PAYABLE AT BANGALORE.
