Technology Description


  • The methodology employs a combination of tissue culture and ex vitro techniques.
  • Tissue culture-part involves the in vitro multiplication using microcuttings and the use of rooted plants and stumps for acclimatization. The ex vitro part involves use of single node softwood cuttings.
  • Suitable for the bulking of elite varieties, new breeds and exotic introductions from a limited planting material, particularly for shy-propagators. Worked out for the black seedless grape “Arka Neelamani’.
  • Ideally suitable for root stocks like Dogridge
