∙ Determined the persistence pattern and environmental fate of pesticides residues in large number of vegetables and fruits for determination of waiting period. ∙ Compared the persistence pattern of pesticides in vegetables grown in open field to that grown in polyhouse environment. ∙ Data generated for registration of new pesticides as well as for deemed registered pesticides for MRL fixation. ∙ A method for analysis of carbendazim residues by HPLC was standardized and the same has been accepted by BIS, as its national standard protocol.
