TECHNOLOGIES DEVELOPED ► Developed technology for the commercial cultivation of Milky mushroom (Calocybe indica) ► Developed the commercial production technology of medicinal mushrooms –Shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) on mixed sawdust substrate and Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) on sawdust and paddy straw substrates ►Developed the first sporeless and low spored mutant of Pleurotus florida and P. sajor-caju in India to mitigate respiratory allergy due to spores ►Documented , conserved and domesticated the wild culinary medicinal mushrooms of Andaman & Nicobar islands, Westernghats, Aravalli forests and Thar forest region of Rajasthan, The Dangs and Girnar forests of Gujarat, Balaghat and Jabalpur forests of Madhya Pradesh and the forests of Sikkim. ►The first indigenous species of Pleurotus (P. djamor) conserved from Westernghats released for commercial cultivation as institute variety Arka-OM-1 ►Introduced the Elm oyster (Hypsizygus ulmarius) for commercial cultivation in India ►Developed solar energy integrated mushroom production system in India ► Developed machinery for spawn production for the first time in India ► Developed mushroom products for daily diet supplementation to mitigate malnutrition ► Developed the concept of ornamental mushrooms for the first time through fructification of Pycnoporus cinnabarinus ► Standardized methodology for the utilization of mushroom spawn production waste for biogas production and Mushroom SMS for Trichoderma multiplication
