A training programme was organized under the project “Establishment of Biotech-KISAN Hub at Department of Biotechnology-Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar for carrying out activities in tribal districts of Odisha” at Koraput district of Odisha on 15th September 2022. The programme was conducted at M S Swaminathan Research and Foundation Centre, Jeypore, where in around 60 farmers, farm women and entrepreneurs participated. The participants were trained on the recent technologies in the field of horticulture. Inputs like seeds of tomato (Arka Rakshak), chili (Arka Gagan) and ridge gourd (Arka Vikram) were distributed to the farmers. The programme was organized by Department of Biotechnology-Institute of Life Science, Bhubaneswar and co-ordinated by Dr G C Acharya, Principal Scientist and Co-Principal Investigator of the project.
