CHES (ICAR-IIHR), Bhubaneswar participated in National Level Exhibition
Central Horticultural Experiment Station (ICAR-IIHR), Bhubaneswar participated in the 8th Krishi Fair-2017 organized by Shree Shrikshetra Soochana at Puri during 15-19th May 2017
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Hon’ble State Agriculture minister Dr Damodara Rout. The exhibits depicting ongoing research activities of the Station and technologies pertaining to the fruit and vegetable cultivation were displayed in the stall. Live samples and planting material of various fruit and vegetable varieties were also displayed for the benefit of the farmers. The farmers and the visitors were interested about the Ivy gourd varieties (Arka Neelachal Kunkhi and Arka Neelachal Sabuja) and different mango varieties with contrasting features. Various crop specific plant growth promoting formulations, processed dehydrated fruits, ready to cook products, developed by ICAR-IIHR were also exhibited in the Stall. Hundreds of farmers and officials visited the stall for 5 days and observed the exhibits. Dr. G.C. Acharya, Principal Scientist and Dr. s. Mandal, Principal Scientist coordinated the exhibition along with Technical Assistants Sri. M.K.Pattanaik, Sri B.C.Patra and skilled supporting Staffs Sri G Sundaray and Sri B.Maharana.
