FIELD DAY CUM FARMER- SCIENTIST INTERACTION MEET
to be held at CHES (ICAR-IIHR), Chettalli on 19th February, 2021
The ICAR- IIHR through its constant research works has released several varieties of fruits, vegetables and flowers for the benefit of the farming community. The performances of these varieties are regional specific and there is always a curiosity among the farmers to know the characters of the varieties and their performance in the field. To facilitate this the ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research has been taking its best efforts to showcase the technologies through demonstration at its main research station, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and substations. In this line the Central Horticultural Experiment Station (CHES), Chettalli, a regional station of ICAR-IIHR, is organizing a one day ‘Field Day cum Farmer-Scientist Interaction Meet’ on 19th Feb, 2021 at CHES, Chettalli, Kodagu district.
Attractions of the Field Day:
- Around 22 minor fruit crops suitable for Coorg region are under display
- Thirty-eight promising IIHR vegetable varieties/hybrids representing 25 vegetable crops are being demonstrated
- Arka Nutri garden with 25 different IIHR vegetable varieties
- Farmers-Scientists Interactive session for guidance to the farmers on various aspects of horticulture farming
