Hindi Week Organized by Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Chettalli
Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Chettalli, Coorg was celebrated “Hindi Week” from 14-21 September, 2015. Dr. R.Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist and I/C Head, CHES, Chettalli inaugurated the Hindi Saptah programme on 14th September, 2015 and addressed the staff about importance and necessity of hindi language in our daily life. Dr.V.Sankar, Senior Scientist (Hort), CHES, Chettalli and Chairman - Hindi Saptha Programme has briefed the events to be carried out in Hindi Week. During this week, several competitions viz., dictation in hindi, identification things, hindi meanings, copy writing, poem reading and description of an object in hindi were organized for among scientific, technical, supporting staffs and SRFs. Valedictory function of week-long event was organized on 21th September, 2015.Mrs Neha Sharma, Principal, Sun Shine Valley School and Mr Manoj, Hindi Teacher, High School - Chettalli were invited guests to grace the function. Shri. K.V. Varadarajachar, Technical Officer, welcomed the guests and staff. The guests and other speakers were emphasized on the importance of Hindi week celebration and role of Hindi in everyday life. Mrs. P.B.Swathy, Technical Officer, CHES, Chettalli briefed the gathering about various activities and competitions held during “Hindi Week” celebration. The end of programme, prizes were distributed by the guests, guest of honour and Head of the station among the winners of different competitions and encouragement prizes to the all participants also. The programme was coordinated by Dr. V. Sankar and Smt. P.B. Swathy. The valedictory function was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs Jayanthi mala. The programme was coordinated by Dr. V.
