ICAR-IIHR Organized Consultative Workshop with Input Dealers of Karnataka

ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research organized a "Consultative Workshop for Input Dealers" of Karnataka on 3.11.2018. The purpose was to disseminate IIHR technologies to the input dealers, so that the input dealers may recommend IIHR technologies to the needy farmers. More than 175 input dealers from all over Karnataka participated in the workshop.


During the inauguration programme, Dr R Venkattakumar, Principal Scientist and Head, Division of Social Sciences and Training extended a welcome and gave  brief introduction about the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr MR Dinesh, Director, ICAR-IIHR. In his inaugural address Dr MR Dinesh suggested the strategies for collaboration with input dealers towards transfer of ICAR-IIHR technologies. Dr B Narayanaswamy gave a formal vote of thanks. The inauguration programme was followed by technical sessions. The following are the details about the technical sessions:

Each session was followed by brief discussions. After the technical sessions, the input dealers were taken to Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC), Seed Unit and ICAR-IIHR Nursery. The input dealers were happy about the information about horticultural technologies obtained by them during the technical sessions and assured that they will advocate ICAR-IIHR technologies to the farmers
