Tuberose is one of the important flower crops which is grown commercially in an area of about 30,000 ha across the country. Integrated nutrient management in tuberose will result in reduction in the use of chemical fertilizers in addition to improving soil health.
- Application of 75% RDF+1 Kg per m2 FYM+300 g per m2 Vermicompost+2g/pl Azospirillum+2g/pl PSB is recommended for increased flower yield and better quality in tuberose cv. Prajwal. This treatment resulted in the benefit cost ratio of 3.2 with a net returns of Rs. 4,86,754 per acre
- Application of 50%RDF+2Kg per m2 FYM per year is advocated for higher cut flower yield and better spike quality in tuberose cv. Vaibhav. This treatment resulted in the benefit cost ratio of 1.83 with net returns of Rs.1, 14,062 per acre.
