ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli, Tumakuru-II participated in the inaugural ceremony of Global Millets (Shree Anna) Conference New Delhi (International Year of Millets -2023) graced by Hon’ble Prime Minister, on 18th March 2023 through virtual mode and live webcasting of the same was arranged. Representative from NGOs, Agri-Start-ups, FPO’s and farmers participated in the event. They also exhibited different value added products of Millets. They received the message shared by Hon’ble PM on various benefits Shree Anna and different schemes of the government is planning to promote these nutri cereals. After the programme an interaction was arranged among the participants from different sectors connected with millets, which was coordinated by Dr. N. Logannadhan, Head, ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli along with other KVK, Staff. Further a training programme on “Millets for opportunity in Natural farming” was also arranged for the participants wherein the demonstrations of Natural Farming were shown to the participants. About 25 participants took part in the event and benefitted immensely in the programme.
