ICAR-IIHR Participated in the Regional Agricultural fair for Eastern Region held at KVK, Kunthi, Jharkhand during 3-5 February 2024. On the 3rd day of the fair His Excellency Governor of Jharkhand Sri.C.P. RadhaKrishnan, visited ICAR-IIHR stall and distributed IIHR technologies to the beneficiaries.
On 03.02.2024, the programme was inaugurated by Honourable union Agricultural Minister Sri, Arjun Mundaji in the presences of Director General and Secretary DARE. Deputy Director General Horticulture sciences, Dr. S. K. Singh visited ICAR-IIHR stall along with other dignitaries during the fair. During the 3 day event, ICAR-IIHR put up stall to show case the horticultural technologies suitable for the Eastern region of India and conducted capacity building programmes in all the three days. At the end of the programme, the seeds of Arka Shubra of velvet bean, Arka Rakshak of tomato Arka Meghana of chill, Arka Vikram of ridge gourd and Amaranthus were distributed to the beneficiaries of different districts in Jarkhand. This programme wascoordinated by Dr. R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist and Nodal Officer SCSP.
