Research Accomplishments: 

(During the Period of 2019-2023)

  1. Standerdised pollen cryopreservation protocol in cassava and taro
  2. Standardised the production of cassava synthetic seed and its storage technique
  3. Standardised in vitro regeneration protocol in Arrowroot and taro
  4. Maintained tuber crops (cassava, yam, sweet potato, taro, arrowroot) germplasm under in vitro active germplasm (IVAG)
  5. Screened 370 greater yam genotypes for anthracnose under field conditions and identified four resistant, 138 tolerant,70 susceptible and 158 highly susceptible genotypes. Male,
  6. resistant genotype for anthracnose, Sree Karthika and susceptible female, Orissa Elite were selected as parents for the development of mapping population
  7. A total of 283 cucumber germplasm lines were characterized as per the minimal descriptor of NBPGR, New Delhi and 229  cucumber germplasm lines were screened for downy mildew resistance
