The 58th ICAR –IARI Convocation week started on 10th February 2020. Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Convocation on 14th February 2020. On this occasion, eleven Ph.D. scholars from IARI PG Outreach programme, ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru, Karnataka, received their doctoral degrees. Among the recipients were Mr. Jagdeesh P.M, Mr. Subhash Chander, Mr. Donald Sangma (in absentia), Ms. Shaili Kumari and Ms. Sajana from Division of Fruit Crops; Ms. Hemlata and Ms. Raimini Hembrom from Division of Floriculture and Mr. Ashish Kaushal, Mr. Deven Verma, Mr Rajeev Kumar Yadav and Mr. P. Pandiyaraj from Division of Vegetable Crops. It is a matter of pride for the ICAR-IIHR fraternity that one of our Ph.D. scholars, Mr. Ashish Kaushal, from Division of Vegetable Crops, received the prestigious IARI Gold medal for the best PhD research during this convocation We present our heartiest congratulations to all the doctoral degree recipients and wish them a very bright future ahead.
