(During the Period of 2019-2023)

Seed priming protocols were developed for high germination and high seedling vigour for low quality seeds in various vegetable crops. Modified atmospheric storage for   enhancing shelf life of high vigour primed seeds was investigated. Developed seed germination protocols in various medicinal crops. Enumerated biochemical and molecular events leading to loss of seed vigour   during seed storage   and   vigour restoration pattern upon seed invigouration was identified in various horticultural crops. Isolated and   characterised proteins/genes conferring seed vigour in onion and French bean. Enhancement of Abiotic (water and hig temperature) stress tolerance in chilli genotypes through chemo and biopriming was investigated and proteomic/metabolomic and transcriptomic changes were correlated.
