The ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Institute (IIHR) Bengaluru organized training programme on “ICAR-IIHR Technologies” at Ethapur for the tribal farmers of Ethapur, Salem district of Tamil Nadu under TSP programme on 31stAugust 2024. The programme started with welcome address by Mr. Murugesh, Range officer. Dr. R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist and Member of TSP Programme of the project explained about the significance of ICAR-IIHR technologies for increasing the income of the tribal farmers and vegetable technologies suitable for Ethapur, Salem district of Tamil Nadu. Farmer scientist interaction meeting was held for suggesting solutions to various problems of farmers. About 70 farmers participated in the programme. This programme was coordinated by Dr. R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social Sciences and Training in collaboration with Tamil Nadu, Forest Department.
