Central Horticultural Experiment Station, ICAR-IIHR, Bhubaneswar participated Bihar Udyan Mahotsav, organized by Directorate of Horticulture, Govt of Bihar during 26th to 28th February, 2021. The event was organized at Desh Ratna Park, Patna, Bihar. The exhibition was inaugurated by Sri Amrendra Pratap Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Govt of Bihar. Technologies of ICAR-IIHR were displayed during the exhibition in the form of live samples, posters and published materials. Sh. Amarendra Pratap Singh, Hon;ble Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of Bihar along with Secretary (Agriculture), Director (Horticulture), Govt of Bihar visited ICAR-IIHR stall. Sh Satyapriya Singh, scientist, CHES, Bhubaneswar highlighted the role and importance of country’s largest horticulture institute i.e. ICAR- IIHR with its significant contribution for horticulture sector and upliftment of livelihood securities of farmers through its advance production, protection and allied activities to the hon’ble minister. Bihar horticulture department also acknowledged the ICAR-IIHR for its continuous effort for improvement of horticulture sector and participation in the Mahotsav programme. More than thousand farmers and general public visited the stall and showed curiosity about various technologies of the Station and availability of planting materials of fruits and vegetables. The participation of ICAR-IIHR in the exhibition was co-ordinated by Shri Satyapriya Singh, Scientist (Agri Entomology) and Sri Biswanath Paikaray, SSS of CHES, IIHR Bhubaneswar.
