Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Bhubaneswar participated in an exhibition on 6th December, 2019 organised by ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack on the occasion of “Confluences of Rice Ecosystem Stakeholders for Popularising ICAR Technologies in Odisha- IINSPIRE 2.0”. The exhibition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR), Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra in presence of Director, ICAR-NRRI; Director, ICAR-CIWA; Director, ICAR-IIWM and other guests. Selected horticultural technologies of ICAR-IIHR were displayed in the form of live samples, posters and published materials. The CHES, ICAR-IIHR, stall was visited by distinguished dignitaries, students and farmers from across the state of Odisha. During the visit, Dr T Mohapatra, Hon’ble Secretary (DARE) and DG (ICAR) emphasized large scale dissemination of viable IIHR technologies among the farming community of Odisha like Arka Urban Horti-Kit, Vegetable seed kit-for nutritional security etc. Visitors interacted with the scientists and technical assistants and showed great interest in getting the planting materials of released varieties of fruits and vegetables from CHES. The exhibition was coordinated by Dr. Deepa Samant, Scientist with the support of Sri B.C. Patra, STA and Sri H. Bindhani, SSS.
