A capacity-building programme was organized on ICAR-IIHR technologies for farmers of the Kolar district under the RKVY project at Malur, Kolar on 02.07.2022. Dr V. Sankar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social sciences and Training delivered a lecture on important vegetable varieties, hybrids and technologies developed by ICAR-IIHR suitable for the Kolar region. Dr R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social sciences and Training delivered a lecture on important fruit varieties released by ICAR-IIHR suitable for the Kolar region. In the end, there was a farmer-scientist interface. This programme was attended by more than 60 farmers of the Kolar district. Input distribution was arranged during which, IIHR developed planting materials of Guava (Arka Kiran), Mango (Arka Uday) and Annona (Arka Sahan) (500 each) were distributed to the beneficiaries of the Kolar district under the RKVY project. The whole programme was coordinated by Dr V. Sankar and Dr R. Senthil Kumar of the Division of Social Sciences and Training, ICAR-IIHR, Bangalore.
