ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru conducted the valedictory programme of Hindi Week on 21st September 2020. Dr. Anil Kumar Nair, Principal Scientist and In charge Assistant Director (OL), welcomed Dr. K. S. Shivashankara, the Director In charge,ICAR-IIHR, Chief Administrative Officer, Deputy Director (OL), ICAR and all other participants who joined on-line for the programme. He gave an account of the programmes conducted during Hindi Week celebration and also announced the winners of competitions. He thanked all the participants and appealed to them to use Hindi in their day to day work.
Shri. A.K. Jagdeeshan, Deputy Director (OL), ICAR spoke about the importance of Hindi in our official work and said ICAR-IIHR has been promoting Hindi through publication of ‘Bagwaani’, popular and other scientific articles. He highlighted the awards and appreciations received by the institute from different organizations.
Shri G.G. Harakangi, CAO, in his address remarked that the institute was taking all the steps to complete the targets given by the government to promote and work in Hindi. He congratulated the winners of the competitions and called upon all the staff to use Hindi in their official work.
Dr. K. S. Shivashankara, Director In charge, ICAR-IIHR presided over the function and remarked that Hindi is widely used by the staff and hence we are able to fulfill the commitment to further the use of Hindi as the official language.
