IARI-IIHR Ph.D Student’s Sports Meet (25-27, February, 2017)
A three day sports meet was held among the Ph.D students of IARI-IIHR during 25-27, February, 2017, which was inaugurated by Dr. R. Venugopalan, Chairman, Post Graduate Education with a cricket match between senior and junior batch of Ph.D scholors. Students competed in as many as 10 sport events, which include Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Carom, Chess, Table Tennis, race, and relay. The events were held individually for both boys and girls. On the final day, a football match between senior and junior batch of Ph.D scholors was inaugurated by Dr. T. Manjuantha Rao, Head (FLA) and Ex-Professor, ICAR-IIHR. All the 43 students have participated as a team for top-championship. The overall winners are Third year (112 pts.) followed by Second year (66 pts.) and First year (56 pts.). Among Girls, the best performer was Ms. Raimani Hembrom whereas amongst the boys it was Mr. Donald Sangma.
