The ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) Bangalore, Participated in Exhibition “State Level Mega Farmers Day 2024” during September 26-29, 2024 at TNAU, Coimbatore. The programme was started with welcome address by Dr V. Geethalakshmi, Vice Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore. The programme was inaugurated by Honourable Agriculture Minister Shri.M.R.K. Panneerselvam, Minister for Housing and Urban Development Shri.S. Muthusamy and Minister for Information and Publicity M.P. Swaminathan.
Around 52,000 Registered farmers of all districts of Tamil Nadu and also neighbouring states along with staff and students of TNAU, Coimbatore attended the programme. ICAR-IIHR participated in the exhibition to showcase various ICAR-IIHR technologies to the farming community and received BEST STALL award . This programme was coordinated by Dr V.K Jaya Raghavendra Rao, Principal Scientist and Head of the Division of Social Science and Training , Dr R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist and Mr V Sashi Kumar, STA of ICAR-IIHR .
