ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) participated in Global Potato Conclave during January 28-31, 2012 organized at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. It was an exhibition on all about Potato cultivation, production and post-production management of agri commodities as well as agricultural developments, soil and water management, seed production, input management, mechanization, transportation, storage, processing as well as export, farmers' technologies for facilitating interaction between the researchers, farmers and entrepreneurs of farming sector.
ICAR-IIHR participated in the Exhibition and displayed the advanced technologies. Technologies pertaining to fruits, vegetables and ornamental crops, post-harvest technologies, technologies of IIHR promoted by ATIC were displayed through posters, live specimens and literature etc for the benefit of visitors. ICAR-IIHR stall attracted more than 5000 visitors such as national and international delegates, farmers, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, officials representing SAUs, Department of Agriculture and Horticulture and other allied departments. This programme was coordinated by Dr. V. Sankar, Principal Scientist, associated in organising this exhibition.
