ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) participated in Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela-2020 at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Mela ground, New Delhi from March 1-3, 2020. The main aim of this Mela was to showcase the technologies developed by various agricultural institutes, FPOs, nurseries and private industry from all over the country and also to facilitate interaction between the farmers, marketers and consumers.
ICAR-IIHR participated in the exhibition and displayed the advanced horticultural production technologies of ICAR-IIHR. Technologies pertaining to fruits, vegetables, ornamental crops, integrated crop and pest management of horticulture crops, post-harvest technologies, mushroom production technology and technologies of IIHR promoted by ATIC unit of ICAR-IIHR were displayed through posters, live specimens and literature etc. for the benefit of the visitors. ICAR-IIHR stall attracted more than 10,000 visitors from different states of the country. This programme was coordinated by Dr. R. Senthilkumar, Principal Scientist and Mr. V. Sashikumar, Technician from Division of Social sciences and Training of ICAR-IIHR.
