One year Course- Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers- DAESI programme was inaugurated at ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli, Tumakuru on 16th February, 2023 in collaboration with SAMETI, UAS Bengaluru, MANAGE, Hyderabad and Department of Agriculture, Tumakuru District. Sri K.H. Ravikumar, Joint Director of Agriculture, Tumakuru, Smt. B.Kalpana, State Nodal Officer, SAMETI, UAS Bengaluru and Dr. T. Nagesh Kumar, Assistant Director, Sheep Board, Tumakuru took part in the Programme as chief guests. Dr. N.Loganandhan, Principal Scientist and Head, KVK, Hirehalli presided over the programme. Smt. B.Kalpana described the every important aspects of the DAESI programme to be utilized by the input dealers. Sri K.H. Ravikumar requested input dealers to value the ethics of the business, rather than profit making. Dr. T.Nagesh Kumar briefed the schemes under sheep board for their benefits. Dr. N.Loganandhan asked them to utilize the support of KVK staff in improving the livelihood of farmers. Sri S.C.Chandraiah, Felicitator, compered the programme. Mr. P.R.Ramesh, SMS, Soil Science, Nodal Officer, DAESI organized the programme. About 40 input dealers attended the programme.
