Though Bacillus species are promising bio-agents controlling soil borne pathogens and nematodes, till now in India there are no commercial products of these bio-agents with good shelf life and CFU are available for application in the field. Hence a protocol of mass production of Bacillus pumilus, was standardized using liquid based formulations which are more advantageous to farmers due to higher shelf life. This bioagent cultured in Nutrient broth is added at the rate of 20ml to ‘1’ lit of liquid fermentation medium. Liquid fermentation is carried out at 30±1ºc for a specific period of 4 – 5 days. Bacillus pumilus was the most efficient species which has resulted in 89.73% reduction in hatching of eggs, 88.5% mortality of juveniles of M.incognita and 15.48% increase in yield of carrot.
