Specialisation:
Post-harvest management of fruits and plantation crops
Qualification:
Ph.D (Fruit Science)
Research Accomplishments:

(During the Period of 2019-2023)

I had significantly contributed for crop management and post-harvest aspects of oil palm, cashew and fruit crops. We developed a chipping bucket – an accessory for rapid decomposition of old or unproductive oil palm trunk, and involved in development of oilpalm harvesting sickles. I innovated the concept of cashew sprouts for effective suppression of anti-nutrients viz. phytic acid and allergic protein and to increase the bioavailability of minerals. Other major contributions include value addition of cashew sprout and cashew apple pomace waste, evaluation of germplasm for big cashew apple and nut, modification of biochemical analysis methods for cashew apple and cashew leaf samples etc. I had been associated with the development activities of major cashew varieties i.e., H-130 and NRC-492, cashew apple products  such as cashew apple RTS, cashew apple cider, Jam, Jelly and also been involved in development of demonstration plots for dissemination of cashew production technologies developed by ICAR-DCR, Puttur. Apart from this, I have contributed for development of softwares on cashew phenology and mobiles apps related to irrigation, water and fertilizer management in cashew. So far, I guided 4 M.Sc (Food Science and Technology) students for their dissertation. I have been recognized as a faculty at IARI, NewDelhi, UHS, Bagalkot and UAHS, Shivamogga. I hold 4 copyrights for the development for those mobile apps. I published 20 research and 3 review articles in refereed journals, 4 book chapters, 11 popular articles, 7 technical bulletins, 7 extension folders, 2 e-publications, 2 instruction materials, 4 ready reckoners, 4 full papers in souvenirs, 6 newsletter publications.
