Ph.D
Research Accomplishments:

(During the Period of 2019-2023)

  1. Curd based formulation was developed for correcting blossom end rot in tomato, chillies and capsicum
  2. ‘Absolute” micronutrient spray formulation was developed for vegetable crops; Application of foliar spray G-2 formulation (Zn 4%, B 3.2%, Mo 0.0025, Ca and MgSO4 as inert substance + chemical agents to enhance its effectiveness) very effective in increasing yield, correcting nutrient disorders and blossom end rot, improved post harvest life, and quality of fruits
  3. Novel Technology:  ZnO synthesized nanoparticles significantly increased curd yield (28.8%) of cauliflower over the control and the uptake of zinc was substantially higher in sprayed plants; The positive effect of ZnO NPs - opens new door for its use as source of zinc fertilizer in plant nutrition for vegetable crops.
  4. Development of Micronutrient foliar formulation for grapes -  Multi-micronutrient (grade 2 combination) was found very effective in improving the quality (uniform in berries size, good fruit set and reduced fruit fall) and yield of grapes.
  5. Organic-based nutrient formulation for Pomegranate for soil application
  6. ‘Arka mushroom iron fortifier Technology for production of iron fortified mushrooms’–A technology for production of iron rich mushrooms to mitigate iron malnutrition among Indian population
  7. Silicon nutrition in horticulture crops: Foliar application of orthosilicic acid (4ml/llt) significantly increased biomass production and yield of capsicum. Foliar treatment of zinc sulphate, boric acid and silica (irrespective of dose) considerably reduced thrips population in capsicum plants.   Orthosilicic acid treated plants recorded lowest leaf curl incidence at different stages of Chilli cropping period.
Varieties / Technologies Developed:

  1. Curd based formulation for correcting BER in tomato, chillies and capsicum
  2. Arka multi-micronutrient foliar formulation for vegetable crops
  3. Arka Graph micronutrient foliar formulation
  4. Arka mushroom iron fortifier Technology for production of iron fortified mushrooms
  5. Silicon foliar formulation for better yield and pest management
  6. Arka Mushroom Millet Cookies.
  7. Standardization of Production technology of new tropical edible mushroom Macrocybe gigantea (Arka MG-1)
  8. Standardization of Production technology of new tropical edible mushroom Pleurotus tuber-regium (ArkaPT-1)
