As per ICAR directive, the Swachhta Pakhwada-2020 programme was started with the awareness on COVID appropriate behaviours. The Swachhta pledge was given to the staff of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru in front of the administrative block by Shri G G Harkangi, Chief Administrative officer in the presence of Director Dr. M R Dinesh. The pledge was administered at the divisional level also by respective Heads of the Departments. Swachh Bharath Nodal officer, Dr P Nandeesha, briefed about the activities to be organised during the Pakhwada and urged all the staff members to campaign for Swatch Bharat while following the COVID appropriate behaviours like maintaining physical distance of 6ft, washing hands frequently with soap and wearing the mask at work place. The banner regarding the programme and COVID appropriate behaviours was displayed at the main entrance gate of the institute.
