The Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 was observed at ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru from 28th October to 3rd November 2024 aligning with this year’s theme of “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” The inaugural function was held on 28th October 2024 and the Integrity Pledge was administered to all the staff by Vigilance Officer Dr. K. S. Shivashankara. The Chief Guest, Shri S. N. Siddaramappa, Retired Police Commissioner of Belagavi, delivered an impactful address on “How to Be Vigilant to Prevent Corruption,” emphasizing proactive measures for a corruption-free work culture. The event was presided over by Dr. Tusar Kanti Behera, Director, ICAR-IIHR.
Throughout the week, several competitions were conducted for the staff, including essay writing, slogan writing, and drawing competitions centred on the theme of integrity and vigilance. The week concluded with a Valedictory Function on 4th November 2024. The Chief guest Shri Ramesh G., Commissioner of Income Tax and Chief Vigilance Officer of Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. had delivered an enlightening talk on “Preventive Vigilance” and emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity in public service. The function was presided over by Dr.Tusar Kanti Behera, who distributed prizes to the winners of the various competitions, marking a successful observance of Vigilance Awareness Week at ICAR-IIHR.
