In connection with the celebrations on ‘Bharat Ki Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ at ICAR-IIHR, the regional campaign on ‘National Nutrition Week’ was organized through a webinar on “Precision Nutrition” on 3rd September 2021. Dr. Shameen Azeez, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IIHR welcomed the guests and the event was inaugurated by Dr. B.N.S. Murthy, Director, ICAR-IIHR. A lecture on the topic ‘Precision Nutrition’ was delivered by Dr. Usha Antony, Dean, College of Fish Nutrition & Food Technology, Chennai. About 75 participants attended the event through virtual mode and elaborate discussions were made on various aspects of presentations like role of nutrients, the concept of precision nutrition/ personalized nutrition, aim and current developments in precision nutrition, approaches used for precision nutrition etc.
