Research Accomplishments:

(During the Period of 2019-2023)

  1. Developed nanoparticles of iron and zinc through green synthesis method which resulted in an increase in iron and zinc content in leaves, petiole as well as berries, yieldand yield related components (bunch weight, berry weight, berry size etc.) and biochemical parameters like phenol, chlorophyll and protein and secondary metabolites in Thomspson Seedless
    Grapes.
  2. Developed polymer-clay/pomace composites of iron and zinc with controlled release behavior which resulted in increased iron and zinc uptake in Thompson Seedless Grapes.
  3. Determined salinity tolerance index and salinity threshold values for Thompson Seedless grafted on Dogridge, 110R and 1103P rootstocks.
Varieties / Technologies Developed:

  1. Iron nanoparticles functionalized with methanolic extract of  ManjariMedikapomace: Green synthesis, composition and its effect on iron content, grape yield and quality
  2. Zinc nanoparticles functionalized with methanolic extract of ManjariMedikapomace: Green synthesis, composition and its effect on zinc content, grape yield and quality
  3. Guar-gum grafted Pomace-Polymer composites loaded with iron: Synthesis, composition and its effect on Grape.
