My primary area of research and development in computer application for agriculture domain which include research, prototyping new app development for the Indian famers. In recent years the agricultural apps are very useful for famers and agricultural community which keep up to date with latest technology of agriculture. Several Mobile apps has been developed for Horticultural crop cultivation to help Indian farmers and fill the information gap between farmers and scientist. Nominated by ICAR for foreign visit as a part of International training: USA, for 90 days at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York State, United States sponsored by NAIP
In the main Institute for development of computer based applications, I was handling several projects as Principal Investigator and as Co –PI.
Developed more than 15 Mobile apps for Horticultural crop cultivations in English and several regional languages. These apps can be installed from google play store and being used by large group of famers involved in horticultural crop cultivation specific to Tomato, mango, Brinjal, Chilli, papaya, Okra, water melon, French bean, Sapota and Pomegranate crop cultivation.
These apps has been developed for smart phones which provides crop management solutions for farmers to make their management decisions cultivation. The apps primarily designed for Android OS platform with navigational elements using java programming language to traverse in to specific modules which provides crop management solutions viz., Crop production, Disease management, Pest management and IIHR Varieties and hybrids released by Institute and other promising varieties for cultivation.
I have also associated with various External projects funded by ICAR, NCAP, IASRI, etc. as Principal Investigator and Co –PI as well. from 2008 to 2015
PI of AGROWEB Project for IIHR center : A NAIP project (World Bank funded project) for Digital dissemination system for agricultural research
Co-PI in Consortia Research Platform on Borers for the Plant borers in Horticultural crops
Co-PI in Network project on Market Intelligence
Co-PI in Socio Economic development platform
Co-PI in CAB- In (Centre for Agricultural Bioinformatics) Network project.
