Dr . Himanshu Pathak, Director General ICAR and Secretary DARE distributed the IIHR input kits comprising vegetable seed kits, mango special, neem soap and pongamia soap to the beneficiaries of SCSP and TSP in the presence of Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-IIHR, Dr.T. Damodaran, Director, CISH, Lucknow and Dr.V,B. Patel, ADG, ICAR, Horticulture SMD in Kisan Sammelan programme. The ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru participated in the Kishan Sammelan organized by CISH, RRS and KVK, Malda on 25thNovember, 2023.
In the exhibition, the ICAR-IIHR showcased its farmer friendly technologies with live specimens of high yielding varieties of fruits and vegetables. The technologies of IIHR supported by ATIC were displayed through posters, live specimens and literature etc. for the benefit of the visitors. Several delegates, bureaucrats, policy makers, progressive farmers, entrepreneurs, and students visited the stall and expressed great interest in the technologies. The ICAR-IIHR stall served as a link between farmers and the farming industry and provided information to visitors about the latest horticulture technologies. The programme was coordinated by Dr. R. Senthil Kumar and Dr. H.P. Sumangala, Principal Scientists ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
