ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) participated in Krishi mela from 12th to 13th November 2021 at University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (UAHS), Shivamogga. It was an exhibition on Horticulture, Agriculture, Fisheries, Organic farming and Processing technologies for facilitating interaction among the researchers, extensionists and farmers of agriculture and horticulture
ICAR-IIHR participated in the Exhibition and displayed the advanced technologies of ICAR-IIHR. Technologies pertaining to fruits, vegetables, ornamental crops, integrated pest management of horticulture crops, post-harvest technologies and technologies of IIHR supported by ATIC were displayed through posters, live specimens and literature etc. for the benefit of the visitors. ICAR-IIHR stall attracted more than 20,000 farmers, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, officials of university, department of Agriculture and Horticulture, politicians and scientists of Shivamogga and other districts of Karnataka. This programme was coordinated by Dr T M Reddy, and Mr. V.Shasi kumar assisted in organizing exhibition from Division of Social Sciences and Training, ICAR-IIHR.
