A field day was organized in ICAR–IIHR from 03.03.2022 to 05.03.2022 with the financial assistance of RKVY project to showcase ICAR–IIHR technologies to the farmers. The farmers from various districts of Karnataka visited the field day and witnessed various technologies related to vegetable crops like tomato, brinjal, okra, chilli, french bean, dolichus bean, pumpkin and soil less vegetable cultivation; fruit crops like dragon fruit, pomogranate, mango, papaya, custard apple and guava; ornamental crops like rose, crossandra, zerbera, marigold, gladiolus, aster and tuberose; medicinal crops like velvet bean, garden mint, pepper mint, basil and rosemary. The field day also included demonstrations of crop protection technologies, agricultural machinery, post harvest technologies and sales of planting materials. About 2040 farmers visited the field day on all three days. This programme was coordinated by Dr. R. Venkattakumar and Dr. B. Narayanaswamy.
