A Capacity building programme for the farmers of Belgaum on ICAR-IIHR technologies was organized under RKVY project at KLE Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mathikoppa, Belgaum on 30.07.2022. Mr. Desai, Progressive farmer and the governing body member of KVK, inaugurated the programme and in his inaugural speech, he insisted the farmers to use IIHR technologies for benefitting the farming community. Mr. Praveen, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture), KVK, Belgaum welcome the guest and participants. Dr. V. Sankar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social sciences and Training, spoke on important vegetable varieties developed by ICAR-IIHR suitable for Belgaum region and Dr. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social sciences and Training delivered lecture on important fruit varieties developed by ICAR-IIHR suitable for Belgaum region. Dr. G. P. Vishnwanath, Scientist (Agronomy), KLE, KVK, Belgaum urged the farmers to utilize ICAR-IIHR technologies and proposed vote of thanks. More than 49 farmers of Belgaum district and staff of KLE KVK, Mathikoppa, Belgaum had attended the programme. During the programme there was distribution of vegetable seeds, biofertilizers (Arka Microbial Consortium), Arka Vegetable special and Arka Banana special for the beneficiary farmers. This Programme was coordinated by Dr. V. Sankar and Dr. Senthil Kumar.
