One-day training-cum-awareness programme on Arka Microbial Consortium was organized by Central Horticultural Experiment Station, ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bhubaneswar on 13th September 2022. Twenty five farmers along with three subject matter specialists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s of Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh attended the training programme. The training was arranged as a part of the externally funded project on “Setting up of incubation and large scale mass production unit of Arka Microbial consortium in Odisha for Horticulture Industry". During the training programme, the benefits of AMC on the sustainable vegetable production was briefed by Dr. Gobinda C. Acharya, Principal scientist. Dr. Panneer Selvam, Principal Scientist, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack and Co-PI of the project delivered a presentation on various aspects of Arka Microbial Consortium and demonstrated the methodology. During the programme, the farmers were distributed with AMC solution and a field visit was also arranged. The training was coordinated by Dr. Gobinda C Acharya.
