A Memorandum of Agreement was signed on 9th January 2023 between M/s Geeyes Organic Manures (OPC) Pvt. Limited (an incubatee of BESST-HORT, IIHR) with KVK, Hirehalli for collaborative work in the field of Organic/Natural Farming at KVK farm. As per this agreement demonstrations activities will be carried out at KVK, Hirehalli farm by Geeyes Organic Manures, taking support from staff of KVK. During the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director, IIHR appreciated this joint venture and emphasised on the importance of organic farming in improving the soil fertility status. This agreement will be executed for a period of one year, with vegetable cultivation in an area of 5 acre, as a part of natural farming demonstrations to be carried out at KVK, Hirehalli, as per the instructions from ICAR. Dr Loganandhan, Principal Scientist and Head, KVK, Hirehalli, Dr C.K. Narayana, Head, BESST-HORT were present during the occasion.
