National Horticulture Fair-2023 (Day 2: 23/2/2023) organised at ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru

Second day (23rd February,2023) of the National Horticulture Fair 2023, witnessed more than 11000 people, including farmers, stake holders, entrepreneurs, school & college children and scientists participating at ICAR-IIHR, Hesarghatta, Bengaluru, across various states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, Haryana, Chattisgarh.

A workshop on on Hi-Tech Farming Techniques (Hydroponics, Aeroponics, Aquaponics, Vertical farming) was also conducted at Centre of Excellence in collaboration with the Society for the Promotion of Horticulture (SPH). There was a huge demand for seed and planting material, farmers carrying these items are a common sight in NHF area. IIHR stall alone made a business of Rs. 2 Lakh, whereas the business from other private nurseries is more than 10 fold of this. Farmers consultancy was also held by the experts of the institute, nearly 250 farmers found solutions to their problem through one to one consultancy. The millet theme park was a greater attraction especially for the student and youngsters.
