The Central Horticultural Experiment Station, ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bhubaneswar organized a Blood Donation Camp on 1st January 2024 to observe New Year 2024. On this day, a get-together for all categories of staff was organized where it was emphasized cooperation from all staff for overall development of the centre. As a noble gesture, a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, Govt of Odisha was organized, where 18 staff of different categories voluntarily donated blood. Blood donation is considered as the gift of life as there is no substitute present for human blood. All the donors were provided a certificate of appreciation and a donor card by the BMC. Head of the station provided sincere thanks and gratitude to all the donors and organizers for their act of social responsibility. The blood donation camp was coordinated by Sri Manoj Ku Pattanaik, IC Staff welfare with able support from MrsRinaPattanayak, Sri Arun Kumar Barik, Sri Anil Adamala, Sri AshishChakraborty, Miss Lisalin and Miss Lopa.
