The ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru marked World Environment Day 2024 with the theme "Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience" on June 5th, 2024. Dr. Prakash Patil, Director (A), ICAR-IIHR, graced the event with his presence. Land degradation poses a significant threat to the sustainable development of horticulture, necessitating the implementation of various technologies for rehabilitating degraded lands. As part of the celebration, staff members planted saplings of fruit plants in the campus. The program was efficiently coordinated by Dr. T.R. Rupa, Dr. G.C. Satisha, and the Farm Management Committee of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru.
