ICAR-IIHR participated in the Mango Maha Utsav held at Patna, Bihar from 22 to 23 June, 2024. The programe was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief minister of Bihar. Sri. Nitish Kumar Ji in the presence of Agricultural Minister and officials of Bihar Government.
IIHR exhibited Mango varieties developed at IIHR and also exhibited Unique collections to show case the diversity of Mango collections and other IIHR technologies such as Biofertilizers and Biopesticides. Dr.D.R.Singh,Vice-Chancellor of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour visited IIHR stall and interacted about the suitability of IIHR Technologies for Bihar .
On 23rd June, 2024, capacity building programme was conducted for the benefit of Bihar farmers. Dr.V. Jeyaragavendra Rao, Principal Scientist and Head i/c delivered lecture on Supply Chain and Marketing in Mango, followed by the presentation of Mango canopy management and Plant health management in Mango was delivered by Dr. R.Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social Sciences and Training. A total of 30,000 farmers from all the districts of Bihar including all department officials participated in the two day Mega event .
