Training programme and distribution of vegetable seeds Organized by ICAR-IIHR as part of TSP in Jorhat district, Assam

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) Bangalore, Participated in Workshop on Adaption of Agro-Ecology for Realization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of farmers friendly technologies of ICAR-IIHR on 7th February 2025 in Jorhat district of Assam as part  TSP of the institute. This training program was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jorhat in collaboration with TREND Bengaluru. Dr R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist narrated the objectives and importance of the training program and delivered lectures on soil health management for successful cultivation of fruits and vegetables. At the end, IIHR inputs like Vegetable Seed kits and some vegetable hybrids were distributed to the farmers. This training program was attended by120 farmers and vegetable seeds given to 40 villages of 4 representatives and each representative hold 10 villages from various parts of Jorhat district of Assam. This Training programme was coordinated by Dr R. Senthil Kumar, Principal Scientist, Division of Social Science and Training, ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru.
