A cleanliness campaign was held at Ivarakandapura Government school. The Nodal officer Swachh Bharath committee Dr Nandeesha P, explained the students about the importance of cleanliness in their day to day life. Importance of avoiding single use plastics for conserving the nature. Dr Selva Kumar, Principal Scientist (Agril. Microbiology) explained about the bio-degradable and non-biodegradable wastes, importance of segregation of wastes and efficient decomposing for nutrient recycling. Dr Raghupathi, Head Division of Soil Science explained about the importance of environmental cleanliness and composting of farm and house wastes for soil health and natural cleanliness. All the students, teachers and IIHR staff cleaned the school premise and segregated the plastic waste. Whereas, at Chettalli all staff members were involved in Cleaning and sanitation drive with in the campus and residential colonies of CHES Chettalli.
