An entrepreneurial training program on Mushroom spawn production and Mushroom cultivation was organized by Mushroom Lab, Plant Pathology Division from 02nd - 04th Jan 2020 and 06th -10th Jan 2020. A total of 22 people from the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana, odisha and Maharashtra attended the training. The group included 3 women entrepreneurs. There was a great diversity among the trainees with regards to educational qualification which ranged from Matriculation (1), intermediate (1), graduates (17), post graduates (3). The profession ranged from agriculturists (2), businessman (3), software engineers (11), mushroom growers (4), Student (1) and housewife (1). The group also included a differentially abled entrepreneur. The group was given advance end to end Hands on training on various aspects of Mushroom spawn production, Mushroom cultivation, Mushroom processing and value addition, Mechanization and energy management in mushroom farms, ancillary activities associated with mushroom industry and utilization of mushroom technology as a social enterprise.
