ICAR-IIHR participated in the Krishimela organized by University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bengaluru during 17th to 20th November, 2023. It was an opportunity for ICAR-IIHR to showcase its farmer friendly technologies through live specimens, products, sale of inputs etc., in the exhibition. About 25,000 farmers and other stakeholders visited ICAR-IIHR stall during the period. In the exhibition stall, ICAR-IIHR also displayed samples of fruits, vegetables, ornamental crops, integrated crop and pest management of horticulture crops, post-harvest technologies, mushroom production technology and other technologies promoted by ATIC.
Dr. V.K.J Rao, PS & Head I/c, Dr. Raju R Principal Scientist, Dr. Harish Kumar H.V., Scientist and Mr. Sashikumar, Senior Technical Assistant , Division of Social Sciences and Training co-ordinated for the 4-day mega event and a total number of 30 scientists and 26 technicians participated in the exhibition for interaction with farmers. The programme was also coordinated by Dr.Chandan Gowda H (Scientist, PAT Training), Division of Social Sciences and Training. The vegetable seeds, ATIC products, Ready to Fruit bags of Mushroom were sold.
