Research Accomplishments:

- Developed Light trap based IPM package for the invasive South American tomato moth, Phthorimaea absoluta on tomato.
- Light cum suction trap for Tuta insect developed and applied for patent
- Management intervensions for invasive thrips, Thrips parvispinus on chilli.
- Biointensive management brinjal shoot and fruit borer, Leucinodes orbonalis
- Identified Solanum pennelli as resistance source for P. absoluta (Tuta absoluta)
Varieties / Technologies Developed:
- Developed Light cum suction trap for attraction of insect pests.
- IPM : A new invasive pest, South American Tomato leaf miner/moth, Tuta absoluta was reported first time from India during 2014 on tomato and standardized Light trap based IPM protocol for its management.
- IRM: use of plant oils as synergists.
- Pest Management on vegetables and flower crops under protected structures/polyhouses
